Thank you for visiting.
When I had the privilege of serving our community, the best part of the job was talking with the residents of Thornhill and listening to your concerns. Whether it was my monthly coffee klatch drop-in, annual movie in the park or meeting you while going door to door, it was a tremendous opportunity to hear from you directly about your hopes and concerns for Thornhill.
I am running to return to Markham Council because I believe that now more than ever before Thornhill needs strong, capable leadership with the experience and vision to actually get things done for you, the residents of Thornhill and Markham.
We need to invest in urgent infrastructure needs such as transit, stormwater management flood protection, outdated power utility grids; and, the age and quality of facilities including the amenities in our local parks; fight on your behalf – not those of big business – against the pressures of intensification and development of the Yonge Street corridor; and, protect Thornhill’s heritage neighbourhoods. Our quality of life depends on making real advances in these areas as well as on initiatives related to the new, emerging technology economy like ‘Digital Markham’.
With the merging of the two Thornhill Wards into one, Thornhill is now the largest Ward in our city. The consequences for the future of our community are significant. The residents of Thornhill need someone who will deliver results. I’m the ONLY candidate in this race with the experience and skill to get to work on your behalf on day 1.
I am excited about this election and I look forward to meeting you soon. I would be honoured to have your support on October 22nd and to represent Thornhill once again on Markham Council.
